FREQUENCY FACE

No facelift. No injections. Yet, your skin will
tighten. How? By contracting the deeper layers of
the skin. It's called Thermage Radiofrequency Skin
Tightening. The procedure is also known as Thermacool
and Thermalift. So how does this drama work? I asked
Dr. Don Altman. He knows. He has done the
procedure as part of his Plastic Surgery practice
in Irvine, California. Seems it's brand new, but
catching on fast. According to the good Doc, the
results are not as dramatic as those of facial surgeries,
but the risks of surgery, anesthesia, and scarring
are far less.

The procedure takes about 30-40 minutes. Some individuals can
undergo the procedure using a topical anesthetic placed on the
face an hour before the treatment. For more sensitive types, they
can also have an oral sedative like Valium about an hour before
the procedure. If you take Valium, then you need someone to take
you home of course. There is a pain with the pulse of the Radiofrequency,
but it's momentary, and the cooling spray follows quite quickly
afterward. So guess what…no down time. You can actually return
to normal activity immediately after the treatment.
Now, it can take up to six months to see final results, Dr. Altman
told me some patients demonstrated immediate results. Dr. A told
me the best patients for this procedure are:
|
1. |
Younger
patients not ready for forehead or lower facelifts. |
|
2. |
Patients
interested in tightening with subtle change without risk of
scarring/and or invasive procedure. |
|
3. |
Patients
who are willing to accept more subtle changes in exchange
for immediate return to normal activity with no downtime.
|
|
4. |
Patients
who have already undergone facial cosmetic surgery and would
like to obtain further tightening without a return to surgery.
|
|
5. |
Patients
who have had laser resurfacing and wish further improvement
of skin tightening and/or acne scarring. |
|
6. |
Patients
who are on medications or who have personal health issues
that will not allow for the safe use of general anesthesia
or more invasive procedures. |
You can also benefit from the Thermalift in conjunction with a
number of different treatment modalities over a period of time.
The face is clearly the best area for treatment, but individuals
may want to treat the loose skin under the arms and stretch marks
on the abdomen and hips.
Can you imagine? Now the Radio is used for more than just Talk
Shows. Just kidding! But if you'd like more info on this incredible
new stuff, here are a few ways. You can go to the company site
at www.thermage.com or Dr Altman's site at www.altmanmd.com.
You can also e-mail the good Doc at daipsc@aol.com or call
800-580-6673 for more information. Lookin' good seems to
be getting a bit easier, doesn't it? Here's to your good looks
and livin'!!!
