Right now in many parts of the country, they are experiencing
an "Indian Summer," cool in the mornings and night and
warm during the day. How do you handle that? Particularly as we
transition into fall, what is the solution to handle whatever
mother-nature throws our way. Here are some tips that may help
you.
- Consider investing in vests. They are popular this
season and can be worn under a blazer.
- Layered outfits are the best solutions for varying
temperatures. Wearing a cardigan under a blazer can be shed
when it gets warm.
- Consider cotton sweaters that have a matching cardigan.
- If it's really cool in the mornings and evenings try
an all weather coat with a zip in lining. The jacket may be
all you need to deal with the temperature fluctuations.
- Try a crew neck sweater worn over your shirt under
your blazer to keep you warm in the mornings.
- Accessories can add warmth such as scarves that complete
an outfit worn around the neck. Hats can also be worn but not
in the office, not unless you're in the fashion or theater business.
As I get ready to take off to Romania for a year, people told
me to prepare for the weather by dressing in layers. Considering
that the temperature can vary from 25 degrees below zero to 115
degrees Fahrenheit, I really have my work cut out for me!
